1. Plan challenges and conditions for myself as well as for pupils in lesson around the number, type and time of interventions I will use. This wouldn’t be fixed of course and could be flexible to meet the needs of the group and lesson as it’s delivered but would positively impact PALT and challenge me to think carefully about the WHY-HOW-WHEN of intervening to stop play.
2. Increasing pupil ownership. Do I need to bring whole class in to explain or demo an activity? Pupils can devise their own or can take responsibility for understanding a set activity and explaining it their peers through use of flash cards or print outs.
